About this plant
The perennial ones — thyme, sage, oregano, chives — come back every year here and are genuinely worth planting in the ground. Rosemary will not survive our winter outdoors; bring it in or treat it as an annual.
Basil sulks below about 12°C, so wait until June rather than planting it out with everything else in May.
Mint is sold in a pot and should stay in one. Put it in a bed and in three years it will be in the lawn, the path and the neighbour's bed.
