Size guide
Actual body measurements in centimetres, not garment measurements and not vanity sizing. Measure yourself, not a garment you already own.
Outerwear & flannel
Measure your chest at the fullest point with a shirt on, arms down. If you are between sizes, size up for the waxed jacket — it is cut to layer — and size down for the flannel.
| Size | Chest (cm) | Waist (cm) | Body length (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 86 – 91 | 71 – 76 | 61 |
| S | 91 – 97 | 76 – 81 | 63 |
| M | 97 – 104 | 81 – 89 | 65 |
| L | 104 – 112 | 89 – 97 | 67 |
| XL | 112 – 122 | 97 – 107 | 69 |
| XXL | 122 – 132 | 107 – 117 | 71 |
Boots
Measure your foot at the end of the day, standing, in the socks you will hike in. Our boots run true to UK sizing, which is roughly half a size smaller than US.
| UK / CA | US | EU | Foot length (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | 7.5 | 40.5 | 25.4 |
| 8 | 8.5 | 42 | 26.2 |
| 9 | 9.5 | 43 | 27.1 |
| 10 | 10.5 | 44.5 | 27.9 |
| 11 | 11.5 | 46 | 28.8 |
| 12 | 12.5 | 47 | 29.6 |
| 13 | 13.5 | 48 | 30.5 |
How to measure a foot properly
- 1Stand on a sheet of paper against a wall, heel touching it, wearing your hiking socks.
- 2Have someone else mark the paper at the end of your longest toe — which is not always the big one.
- 3Measure heel to mark in centimetres. Do both feet; they differ, and you fit the larger one.
- 4Add nothing for 'growing room'. A boot that is too big causes more blisters than one slightly snug.
Still not sure?
Ring the shop and someone will go and put a tape measure on the actual item. It takes two minutes and it is cheaper for everyone than a return.
